> Music Ministry

At Asbury we are truly blessed with devoted and talented musical leadership . . .
  • Organist - Ken Morton
  • Choir Director/Pianist - Nancy Needs Morton
  • Choir Conductor - Kim Needs Blinsinger
  • Children's Choir Director - Shirley Phares

Our theme is sharing the Love of Jesus, the Power of the Gospel and Life Everlasting promised to us by our Savior who died on the cross yet Rose Again.  We strive to get the "message" out through upbeat music that hopefully will stay with you through the weeks or months ahead.

The Adult Choir consists of 12 to 16 members ( High School through Adult) and there is always room for more who can sing four part harmony and want to use the talents that God has given us.  We believe, serving the Lord should be fun.  Choir rehearsal is an hour of fun, made up of singing and much laughter.

There's a strong presence of the tried and true Traditional Hymns blended with Contemporary and Praise songs accompanied by both piano and organ.  You will notice a 'theatre sound" from the organ and occasionally a "southern gospel" style sound from the piano.

Adult Choir has rehearsal every Thursday at 7:00 pm and performs from the Sunday after Labor Day until Father's Day Sunday.  We are always looking for new members, please come and join us!

Our congregation loves to sing.
We hope you will join us this Sunday.

Our choir has a long musical history as seen in this photo of the Asbury choir from the late 1960's, some of whom are still around and one, Peg Reeve, is still an active member of that choir, almost 50 years later . . .
